Below are some updates regarding the upcoming SEALS meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the Omni Amelia Island Resort from July 26 to August 1, 2021.
We are hopeful that we will be able to return to an in-person format, and we are delighted with our return to the Omni. Of course, the pandemic or law school budgets may derail this plan. So, ultimately, we are in a wait and see mode. If necessary, we will shift to an online format.
In the meantime, although we are still accepting submissions for the upcoming meeting, we have released a draft program. If you have suggestions for change, please let me know.
We expect to open registration and the room block on April 1, 2021, at noon. You will have the option of booking hotel rooms or villas (which will come with kitchens, living rooms, etc.). The villas are either 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom, and are either nature view or ocean view, with appropriate price adjustments.
One major caveat. IF you wish to book a two bedroom or three bedroom villa, and you do not wish to occupy the entire villa yourself, you will need to find another attendee who you feel comfortable sharing a villa with. For those who do not have someone in mind, we will be creating a message board which will allow you to locate other attendees to share with.
