Dear SEALS Deans, Program Committee Members and Attendees:
SEALS is in the midst of our site selection process for our 2018 meeting, and we would very much like to have your input.
FYI, room rate does not enter into the calculations. SEALS is absolutely committed to keeping the basic room rate at the same place where it has been for the last 15 years or so ($159 per night). We have signed contracts at that price for our ’16, ’17, ’19 and ’21 meetings, and every resort that is presently under consideration has agreed to meet that rate parameter.
For 2018, several resorts are under consideration, and they have very different strengths and weaknesses. As a result, SEALS’ Board of Trustees has decided to survey the membership for your thoughts on our options. Would you be kind enough to complete the attached survey no later than Thursday? Thanks so much. We really want to receive as much input as possible before we make a final decision.
