Guidance on Discussion Group Call for Proposals

A quick word regarding SEALS discussion groups.  SEALS strongly encourages all discussion groups to send out a call for proposals.  The idea is to give the membership notice of the disucssion group and an opportunity to express interest in participating.  Sometimes, the responses to the requests will involve innovative ideas or unique perspectives.  At the very least, the call for papers will alert potential participants to the possibility of participating.  Of course, discussion group organizers remain free to decide whether any of the responses to the requests for participation are worthy, considering the range of participants already invited.
