SEALS Annual Conference

SEALS has begun the process of putting together its 2017 annual meeting program. We try to conclude this process by October 31st, to issue a draft program in December, and a final program in mid-January. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a panel or a discussion group for next year’s meeting, please feel free to do so. A hallmark of SEALS is that we try to be as open, democratic, and non-hierarchical as possible. In other words, one need not be a “section chair” to submit a panel or discussion group proposal. If you are interested in playing in the SEALS golf tournament, please contact Chris Pietruszkiewicz at cmp@law.stetson.edu. The tournament is open to all attendees and guests and is Friday, August 5 at 7:30 am at the Oak Marsh Golf Course (located on the Conference property). The cost is $60 per golfer and advanced payment is required.

Dear SEALS Deans, Program Committee Members and Attendees: SEALS is in the midst of our site selection process for our 2018 meeting, and we would very much like to have your input. FYI, room rate does not enter into the calculations.  SEALS is absolutely committed to keeping the basic room rate at the same place where it has been for the last 15 years or so ($159 per night).  We have signed contracts at that price for our ’16, ’17, ’19 and ’21 meetings, and every resort that is presently under consideration has agreed to meet that rate parameter.
